RemBind Wins ALGA Award for Best Contaminated Site Photograph 2024

RemBind is proud to be recognised with the Australian Land and Groundwater Association (ALGA) Award for Best Contaminated Site Photograph 2024. The winning photograph, Colours of Contamination, captures a complex heavy metals remediation project involving arsenic and chromium contamination in soil.

This project presented a significant challenge, with a heavy cocktail of arsenic and chromium contamination in the soil. By combining RemBind® 100 with alum sludge, the team was able to deliver a bespoke contaminated land remediation solution for the client, one that resulted in this striking and powerful photograph.

The stark colour contrast in the image – ranging from the vivid crimson of the toxic metals to the lighter tones of the natural, uncontaminated soils — beautifully illustrates the complexity of contaminated site remediation.

This award is a testament to RemBind®’s ability to provide innovative, effective solutions to some of the most challenging environmental contamination issues facing the industry today.
