Project Summary

Delivered RemBind sorbent for a project at a contractor’s laydown yard in Australia. Successfully injected into 8 temporary direct push points emplacing sorbent between 2 and 4.5 m below ground surface (bgs). Existing and migrating PFAS concentration in groundwater was transferred to the RemBind effectively reducing aqueous concentrations and eliminating further migration.

Project Outcomes

  • Slurry injection emplacement of sorption reagent, allowing best-in-class PFAS immobilisation product to be applied to sorb PFAS in groundwater applications.
  • Minimises environmental and operational site disturbances using low impact drilling methodologies, substantially reducing carbon emissions, timelines, and costs associated with traditional pump-and-treat operations.
  • Greater than 97% PFOS reduction in groundwater concentrations, enabling long-term passive treatment with minimal disruption to ongoing site operations.
