How RemRAP™ Works

The RemRAP™ process integrates contaminant immobilisation with RemBind® Sorbent products with proven road construction techniques:

Treatment PFAS-impacted RAP is treated with RemRAP™ to immobilise contaminants
Encapsulation Treated material is blended with foamed bitumen, which binds the treatment within the mix, further reduces PFAS mobility, increases water repellency and uses a cold process to eliminate volatilisation risks
Placement The foamed bitumen base (FBB) is placed within the pavement structure
Protection A low-permeability wearing course which protects the treated layer from wear, reduces water ingress, and minimises volatilisation from solar heating
